Double chance

Double chance is a 1X2 bet that covers two of the three full-time results. 1X wins if the host wins or the match is a draw. X2 wins if the visitor wins or the match is a draw. 12 wins if either team wins, and loses if the match is a draw.
Because two results are included, the price is shorter than the price of a single result. You are giving up return in exchange for covering more of the scoreboard. A short price can still lose. 1X loses whenever the away team wins. X2 loses whenever the home team wins. 12 loses on any draw.
A 2oddspredict double-chance row should be read with the exact selection in mind. Home or draw is not the same bet as away or draw. If the row does not spell out 1X, X2, or 12, open the match and confirm which two results are intended before you stake.
People use double chance when they want to remove one result they consider unlikely, not when they want a large return. It is a poor fit if you need a long price. The market will not pay like a straight win, because the bookmaker is covering two outcomes.
The same checks apply as for a match-winner tip. Look at who is playing, whether the host's home matches have been level or decided, and whether the price still makes sense after you give each of the three results a chance that adds to 100 percent.
A mistake is to treat double chance as protection against every bad result. It removes only one of the three. An early goal for the team you left out is still a loss if that team holds on.
Stake a small fixed unit. If the double-chance price is so short that the return does not interest you, skip it. Covering two results is not a reason to increase the stake.
